Refresher Camp 2008 for Village Children
Thiyagam Narpanbu Kalvi Maiyam (TNKM) is running free tuition centres in villages – Melakkal, Kamatchipuram, Kodimangalam, Thiruvedagam and Keelamathur in Cholavandan in Madurai where we get space, good teachers and community support. In all the five centres 200 students are getting the benefit of free evening tuition on supplementary education with an emphasis on life skills program. When these children grow up they would not compromise on the ideals set forth before them and become role model citizens.We propose to conduct one day Refresher Camp on Life Skills during the month of May by getting together children and teachers from 5 villages in one place. We are inviting eminent people to address in the camp on various topics and provide training to children. The camp also paves way to children to express their hidden talents. We have already conducted three Refresher Camps successfully and this will be the fourth Refresher Camp.

Thiyagam Refresher Camp 2008 - Highlights
Camp Day: 04-05-2008
Time: 8.30 am to 5.30 pm
Participants: Children from Five villages, Teachers, Special Faculties, Trainers and special invitees.
Total Expected Participants: 250
Objective:
Thiyagam Refresher Camp 2008 aims to provide different kinds of opportunities to children to learn and imbibe fine arts, folk dance/songs and other talents directly from experts. Experts from various fields are participating in the Camp and train the children in their respective skills. The 4th Refresher Camp is scheduled to be held on 4th May 2008.
The Refresher Training consists:
1. Artistic Skills: Song on Awakening, Bommalattam, Group drama, Oyilattam,
Drawing, Handicrafts.
2. Life Skills: Oratory from Great Ones lives, Narration of Good deeds by children, Group games
3. Health Skills: Cooking tips by children, Health tips by children, Yoga and Karate.

1. Travel Expenses (Maxi Cab) to bring children
from Villages to the Camp Spot and back - Rs.2000
