La Tomatina, an annual festival featuring the largest tomato fight in the world, is held on August 29 in the small town of Buñol, Spain. The fight rages for two hours as 35,000 participants throw 276,000 pounds of crushed, ripe tomatoes at each other. Cleanup is surprisingly quick when everyone pitches in to restore the town to its pre-salsa-fied condition.
