IT IS WITH THE DEAREST DESIRE TO INFUSE MORE AND MORE PEOPLE WITH THOUGHTS OF KINDNESS I AM POSTING THIS LETTER.

My Dear Friends,

As most of know that November 13 is World Kindness Day.

I give below the datails just for refurbishing our memory I reproduce briefly the salient details of the Movement.

In March of 1963, Dr. Seiji Kaya, President of Tokyo University in his speech to the graduates encoouraged, "I want all of you to bravely practice "small kindness" and trigger an avalanche of kindness so that kindness prevails among the nation."

On September 20, 1997, Seven countries ( Austalia, Canada , Japan , Thailand, Singapore, United Kingdom & U.S.A) held a meeting and took the following pledge:

Declaration

September September 20 1997

"In acknowledgment of the fundamental importtance of simple human kindness as a basic condition of a satisfying and meaningful life, we hereby declare the establishment of the "World Kindness Movement". Through the individual networks in each country and the formation of this global network we pledge to join together to build a kinder and more compassionate world."

The date decreed for World Kindness Day is 13th November.This was the opening day of the first "World Kindness Movement" conference held at Tokyo in 1998, and the 35th anniversary of the Small Kindness Movement of Japan, which brought the signatories of the 'declaration of kindness' of the World Kindness Movement together in 1997.

A few years later, India joined the Movement. Now there are 19 countries who have signed for the movement.

Every Religion's keyword is FAITH.

So with undying FAITH let us continue praying the ever elusive World Peace and Universal Kindness.
